Winter Waterfowl

Join Teddy for his winter water fowl photography workshop held in Toronto, Ontario on the icy edge of Lake Ontario. Teddy will guide you through an enlightening experience working with a range of different waterfowl species from the shores of Toronto’s more reputable wildlife protected parks. These areas become a hot bed for waterfowl flocks during the winter months, however it does require some expertise in the field in order to get close looks at some species. Learn these techniques with Teddy so that you may apply them to your own practices and go home with once in a lifetime shots!

Summer Humming Birds

Experience the pure joy of photographing Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds in the warm summer weather of Muskoka, Ontario, with Teddy’s unique workshop. I invite you to photograph these amazing birds at my home in cottage country, watch them up close in an ethical back yard birding scenario. We will be hidden in a comfortable blind while the birds feed and perch to rest close by. This is a practice that many photographers happily engage in at home, however Teddy’s workshop will explore this practice from an artistic perspective.

Late Summer Loons

Late Summer Loons

In late summer Loons begin to congregate on the lakes of Algonquin park as they prepare to migrate for the winter. This is a great time to photograph them as the cooling temperatures from the night create foggy, moody looking mornings. Paddle out on the lake with Teddy in a kayak and learn how to see these scenes for the artistic masterpieces that they are and how to capture them equally so.

Fall Moose

Fall Moose

Algonquin park is the best place to try and see a moose in Ontario. In the fall they have their rut season (mating) and this becomes the most opportune time to photograph one. Teddy will guide you on an adventure through the park, checking out locations where moose tend to make appearances at this time. It is never a guarantee that you will get to photograph one, however you will at least experience the locations and photograph the wildlife that is present in the area such as birds and other mammals like black bears or foxes.
